Is it okay to be friends on Facebook with your youth group members? Are
there other interpersonal situations you need to think twice about?
Relationships in ministry have grown increasing complex, and leaders can
benefit from reflecting together on what constitutes healthy
interaction. A series of workshops this spring will explore
appropriate boundaries in a rapidly changing society.
Dates and locations for the workshops are May 4 (Faith,
Whitehall), May 12 (St. Paul, Dallas), and May 17 (Zion,
Perry Township). All workshops are being held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m.
All rostered leaders (except retired persons who do not plan to be
involved in further parish ministry) are expected to participate in one
of these workshops. Registration information is in both the February and
March monthly mailings and on the synod website. Call Pastor Mary Gade
at the synod office if you have questions.
